This exciting mixed-use development from Barrientos RYAN in the heart of Seattle is expanding walkable housing locations in the city. With ground-floor dining and shopping options, Center Steps is located in the shadow of the Space Needle and across the street from McCaw Hall, the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Cornish Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Center Steps consists of two mixed-use apartment buildings designed by GGLO with an 8-story with 83 units, and a 7-story with 186 units, totaling 269 units. The concrete scope of the project consists of 2 below-grade parking levels, a retail and commercial space with an extensive courtyard at ground level, and 3 concrete levels of residential above grade with wood framing to the 8th story above the concrete structure. Due to the size of the footprint for the two apartment buildings, pouring the mat slab was spaced across three Saturdays. The concrete footprint pour totaled 5,425 cubic yards of concrete covering 44,250 sq.ft.
