The Conco Companies is providing a full range of concrete services for the 14th & Alice project. The 14th & Alice building will be a mixed-use seven-story building with 262 units, with five levels of wood frame over two levels of concrete podium. It will feature popular amenities such as a courtyard on the podium and roof deck. The building will also include 17,000 sq. ft. of ground level retail space and 197 parking spaces. The concrete parking structure will be located above ground and centered within the building to allow for street front retail spaces.

This site is just two blocks of Lake Merritt in Oakland, making it within walking distance of Uptown’s shops, restaurants, bars, and museums. Lake Merritt also features green space and a walking path encircling the lake. 14th & Alice is also a transit friendly residence with a local BART station within half a mile, providing seamless access to San Francisco and other destinations on the BART line such as Berkeley and the SFO airport. Construction began in late 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2019.

Developed by owner D&S Development, this Sacramento project is a single site, mixed-use project across the street from Fremont Park. Conco’s responsibilities on the project include providing concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, and finishing services.

1430 Q Rendering - The Conco Companies Adjacent to the 16th street light rail station within the most walkable neighborhood in Sacramento, 1430 Q will be a transit friendly residential building. The building is located in a vibrant area that connects the R Street and 16th Street corridors. The 73 unit luxury residential project will seamlessly link these areas, anchoring Sacramento’s Fremont Park mixed-use neighborhood. The complex will also include 9,000 sq. ft. of retail space at ground level and 97 parking spaces below grade as well as the second level.

The modern design will reflect the industrial character of the neighboring historic buildings in the R Street Corridor with a neutral palette, bold accent colors, and large glass walls. 1430 Q will also feature amenities Sacramento’s residents are looking for today. This includes bike storage, a fitness area, pet washing station, and an outdoor lounge with community grilling stations.

Project architect, HR Group Architects, previously designed the Las Alcobas Hotel, which has received significant recognition from Forbes Travel, the New York Times, and CNN. The Conco Companies is providing a full range of concrete services on the Milpitas 750 Project, a 7-level parking garage in Milpitas, CA. The project is being developed by the owner, the Anton Development Company and designed by the firm of Architects Orange. The general contractor is Anton Building Company, Inc. and Seneca Engineers is serving as the structural engineer. The parking garage totals 189,475 sq. ft. and will accommodate 508 parking stalls along with 130 spots for bicycles. This project is located at the corner of E. Capitol Ave and Montague Expressway.

Conco’s responsibilities on the project include providing concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, and shotcrete services. During the course of the project, we expect to place 10,300 cubic yards of concrete as well as shotcrete. In addition we are providing 1,600,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement. Our crews started work in September of 2017 and we will complete the project in August of 2018.

The parking garage is one of two parking structures that will service an 82-unit, market rate apartment complex. The entire project includes 5,000 square feet of ground level retail space and extends from 730 to 750 E. Capitol Ave.

The Conco Companies is providing a full range of concrete services on the 221 N. Mathilda Project in Sunnyvale, CA. The three-story, Class A office building is being developed by the owner, Spear Street Capital and designed by SmithGroupJJR. South Bay Construction is serving as the general contractor and the structural engineer is SEI Structural Engineers Inc. The building, which is being developed on a 4.3 acre greenfield site includes a partial below grade parking structure to accommodate 401 parking stalls. Located between N. Market Ave and Sobrante Way just off W. California Ave, it is close to the Sunnyvale Caltrain station, the San Francisco Peninsula commuter rail service.

Conco’s responsibilities on the project include providing concrete pumping, reinforcement, formwork, finishing, and shotcrete services. During the project, we expect to place 7,600 cubic yards of concrete as well as shotcrete. This project consists of 1,150,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement of which Conco is having placed by others due to factors beyond our control. We started the project in August 2017 will complete the job in July 2018.

The architect, SmithGroupJJR says the building’s most significant design feature is the “striking, custom 2,000 sq. ft., laminated glass artwork that will span the building’s east façade.” It was designed to reflect the site’s history as an orchard. The building will have an open, modern warehouse feel with floor-to-floor windows and industrial elements. The project expects to receive LEED-NC Platinum certification and will include sustainable design features such as energy efficient building systems, water conserving fixtures, architectural solar shading, and outdoor amenities. There will also be green screen cladding on the parking garage.

The Conco Companies is providing a full range of concrete services on Phase II of the Santa Clara Square Project (Buildings 3-5) in Santa Clara, CA. The owner/developer is the Irvine Company and the project is designed by the architectural firm, MVE + Partners. Western National Contractors is the general contractor and FBA, INC. Structural Engineers is serving as the project’s structural engineers.

The entire project consists of 1,763 residential units within 7 separate, 5-story buildings, all wrapped with concrete garage structures and a central promenade that includes around 40,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The Santa Square Buildings are located between Scott Blvd & Augustine Drive from Octavius Drive to Main Street.

Conco was awarded Phase II of the project which is three of the seven 5-story buildings (861 of the residential units) and wrapped parking structures for a total of 642,886 sq. ft. Conco’s responsibilities include providing concrete pumping, reinforcement, shotcrete, formwork, and finishing services. During the project, we expect to place 22,700 cubic yards of concrete as well as shotcrete. In addition we are providing 3,100,000 pounds of rebar and post tension reinforcement. Conco crews began work on the project in October 2017 and will finish the job in August 2018.

According to the Irvine Company Apartment Communities, the apartment homes will offer luxury studio and one- and two-bedroom living spaces and will be adjacent to open park areas, diverse retail and popular dining options. Residents will also enjoy lots of amenities such as four pools, outdoor dining areas with BBQs and fireplaces, state-of-the-art fitness centers, a 3-acre park and access to the San Tomas Aquino Trail, and more.
